Nuremberg’s historic Altstadtfest, a beloved tradition for over 50 years, is back and the city comes alive with festivities for two weeks.
Global Locals English Stammtisch:
Join us on this special evening as we soak in the lively atmosphere of the Altstadtfest. We’ll gather at Bodega Old Pueblo to enjoy the festival’s unique charm, savour delicious local fare, and share stories with fellow Global Locals members and friends. The location is a traditional timber cabin with space to stand outside and a cosy almhütte atmosphere inside in case the evening temperature is cooler. Global Locals is thrilled to invite you to join us for a memorable evening starting a little earlier this time at 7.00pm.
Save the date, invite your friends, and let’s make this Altstadtfest an unforgettable experience together! Prost! 🍻🎉

About Altstadtfest:
The Altstadtfest is a celebration of Nuremberg’s rich culture and heritage. It kicks off with the Mayor’s traditional beer tapping ceremony, and then the city’s charming alleys and squares transform into cosy meeting spots.
One of the festival’s highlights is the “Markt der Gastlichkeit” on Insel Schütt, where you can indulge in authentic Franconian cuisine in picturesque half-timbered houses. Traditional Franconian breweries take care of the brews to accompany your meal.
Other festival venues include the Katharinenruine and Hans-Sachs-Platz. Plus, the Herbstmarkt (Autumn Market) takes place simultaneously on the Hauptmarkt, offering household goods of all kinds and delightful Franconian specialties on the Krämermarkt.
Visual media recordings (photography and video) of participants may take place during these events.
