DESCRIPTION:​The Röthenbach Gorge: Experience the raw beauty of the “Röthenbachklamm\,” where the path winds alongside a bubbling stream through impressive rock formations. \n\n​Beaver Territory: We’ll explore the areas around local beaver dams—keep your eyes peeled for the impressive craftsmanship of these local residents!\n​Forest Serenity: Most of the trail takes us through lush woodland paths\, offering plenty of shade and that deep forest “recharge.”\n\n​🥾 Route Details\n\n​Difficulty: Moderate (Good basic fitness is recommended).\n​Distance: Approx. 10.5 km.\n​Duration: We expect to be on the trail for about 2 hours and 45 minutes (plus breaks for photos and snacks!).\n​Terrain: Mostly easily-accessible paths with some slightly uneven sections in the gorge—sturdy shoes are a must!

Join Global Locals for a hands-on foraging walk designed to take the guesswork out of wild mushrooms. \n​Led by a certified German mushroom expert (Pilzberater der Bayerischen Mykologischen Gesellschaft – BMG) this beginner-friendly tour will be conducted in English. You will learn the fundamentals of safe mushroom identification\, how to spot popular edible varieties in the Nuremberg region\, and how to reliably distinguish them from their toxic lookalikes. The tour will be approximately 3 hours duration. \n​Event Details \n\n​Location: A forest near Nuremberg (we’ll travel there by train)\n​Meeting Point: Nuremberg Main Station (Nürnberg Hbf)\, more details upon registration\n​Language: English\n​Experience Level: Beginner-friendly; no prior knowledge required\n​Group Size: Strictly limited to 14 participants for a personalized experience\n\n​Nature & Weather Note \nPlease keep in mind that the variety and abundance of mushrooms depend entirely on weather conditions in the weeks leading up to the event. We have scheduled the tour during a peak seasonal window where mushrooms are usually plentiful; however\, nature guarantees no harvests!
