SUMMARY:Global Locals Cycling August | Rothsee
DESCRIPTION:Rescheduled from last weekend’s cancelled event\, join us for a cycle trip to Rothsee. We will set off from Zweirad Stadler at 10am. The expected outward journey time covering 30km is about 2.5 hours (taking it easy) primarily along the canal\, so no hills to speak of. Arriving at Rothsee around 1pm\, we have plenty of time to enjoy drinks at the water’s edge. Bathing is also possible or even paddle boarding for those with unlimited energy reserves. \n📆 Saturday\, August 24\n🕚 Set off at 10am \n📍 Zweirad Stadler\, Nopitschstraße 82\, 90441 Nürnberg \nThe return journey begins around 4pm along the cycle path to the Rothsee train station just 7km away. For those who wish to cycle back to Nuremberg\, we will return via Sperberslohe and Wendelstein (another 22km). We may call in at the Zollhaus Beer Garden for a last beer before returning home. \nWhat to Bring: \n\nSomething to sit on at the lake\nSwimwear if you fancy a dip\nSome snacks/food (either for yourself or to share)\nWater or preferred drinks; it will be a hot ride\n\nRequirements: \n\nA reasonable level of fitness\nA fully working bike\nSpare tubes compatible with your bicycle/tyres (in case of a puncture)\nA mandatory helmet for safety (we strongly recommend it too!)\n\nThis tour is weather-dependent and will only take place if the weather is suitable for bathing.

SUMMARY:English Stammtisch Nuremberg
DESCRIPTION:Join us for the next English Stammtisch Nuremberg on Thursday\, October 10 at the Wirtshaus am Opernhaus from 7.30pm. If the weather and temperature permit we can enjoy a one more Beer Garden evening before winter sets in. \nThis event is open to everyone who wants to join\, free of charge and no registration is necessary. It normally takes place on the second and final Thursdays of each month. We invite both locals and internationals to join us in fostering a welcoming environment for cultural exchange. While English is our common language\, we have a wide range of nationalities in attendance. Our location changes each time giving attendees opportunities to visit various bars around Nuremberg. If you would like to suggestion a location we’ll be pleased to hear from you. \nPlease note: the next Stammtisch at the end of October would fall on Halloween and as we are celebrating this special event with a large costume party at Society\, Luitpoldstr. 8 we invite you to join us there. Tickets are required for the Halloween Party and are available here: https://globallocals.de/event/halloween/ \nThe first English Stammtisch was held in 2001\, organised at the time by Alex Kenny and promoted through Facebook. When Alex moved from Nuremberg organisation was passed to Natalie Pratt and in turn to Gemma Snowden. Since 2022 we are in the fourth generation of English Stammtisch Nuremberg which is presently organised through Global Locals e.V. \nQ: How much is it? A: The English Stammtisch Nuremberg is and always will be free for everyone to attend. \nQ: Who can attend? A: The English Stammtisch Nuremberg is open to everyone; both international people and locals! We welcome all ages\, genders\, nationalities etc. You can attend regularly\, or just occasionally. We’re always happy to see you! \nQ: Can I come alone? A: Yes! Some people are regulars and already know each other\, and many people come for the first time and leave with new friends! \n𝙌: Can I arrive late? 𝘼: Yes\, of course!
