DESCRIPTION:Canoe the Altmühl: Solnhofen to Dollnstein!\nGet ready for a fantastic day out on the water! Join Global Locals on Saturday\, July 12th for an easygoing canoe trip along the beautiful Altmühl River which lies just south of Nuremberg. This 12 km journey from Solnhofen to Dollnstein offers stunning scenery and about 3.5 hours of relaxed paddling\, perfect for novices and first-timers! We’ll be using 3-person Canadian canoes and a 2-person kayak for our adventure.\n \nThe river is calm and shallow\, making it an ideal spot to learn. We’ll encounter two fun waterslides along the way\, but if you prefer\, you can easily walk around them. Life jackets will be supplied as well as a small dry container for personal belongings. \nTrip Details: \n\nDate: Saturday\, July 12th\nRoute: Solnhofen to Dollnstein (12 km)\nPaddling Time: Approximately 3.5 hours\nArrival in Dollnstein: By 4:30 PM\nCost: €27 for Global Locals members / €32 for non-members\n\nImportant Booking Information: \nPlease note that tickets must be purchased by Friday\, July 4th. There are just 10 places which we can guarantee are available\, so book your place early! \nWhile we are unable to offer refunds\, you are welcome to transfer your ticket to another person\, aged 18 or over\, if you can no longer attend. If you do transfer your ticket\, please notify us of the change. Any financial arrangements made between you and a third party regarding ticket transfers are solely your responsibility. \nTravel Options: \nYou can travel to the departure point by train or car. \n\nBy Train: Meet us at Nuremberg Main Station for the RB 16 train\, departing 9:39am\nBy Car: Meet us directly in Solnhofen at 10:45am.\n\nWe’ll return to Nuremberg or Solnhofen by train from Dollnstein. \nWhat to Bring: \n\nPlenty of drinking water\nEnergy snacks\nA change of clothing\nA towel\nA waterproof pocket for your mobile phone\nSuntan lotion\nCash for refreshments/lunch (local establishments may not accept card payements).\n\nDon’t miss out on this great day on the river! DESCRIPTION:Looking for a stimulating group adventure? Then join us paddling down the River Altmühl\, through the picturesque Altmühl Valley (Altmühltal) nestled just south of Nuremberg. Become one with the tranquil surroundings through which the river passes as we float\, immersed in nature’s beauty. The journey includes about 4 hours of paddling\, offering a pleasurable blend of relaxation and excitement. Along the route\, you’ll have the option to embrace the thrill of two invigorating waterslides or opt for a more relaxed passage if preferred. \nOur fleet includes a variety of watercraft\, including single-seater kayaks\, two-seater kayaks\, and a three-seater Canadian canoe. As we progress\, you’ll have the chance to switch between different boats\, enhancing your experience. To ensure an intimate and personalised adventure\, we have limited availability to just 10 spots\, allocated on a first-come\, first-serve basis. \nTo commence our journey\, we’ll depart from Nuremberg Hauptbahnhof (main station) at approximately 8:30am\, travelling by train to our starting point on the river. The return journey is scheduled for early evening.
