DESCRIPTION:Canoe the Altmühl: Solnhofen to Dollnstein!\nGet ready for a fantastic day out on the water! Join Global Locals on Saturday\, July 12th for an easygoing canoe trip along the beautiful Altmühl River which lies just south of Nuremberg. This 12 km journey from Solnhofen to Dollnstein offers stunning scenery and about 3.5 hours of relaxed paddling\, perfect for novices and first-timers! We’ll be using 3-person Canadian canoes and a 2-person kayak for our adventure.\n \nThe river is calm and shallow\, making it an ideal spot to learn. We’ll encounter two fun waterslides along the way\, but if you prefer\, you can easily walk around them. Life jackets will be supplied as well as a small dry container for personal belongings. \nTrip Details: \n\nDate: Saturday\, July 12th\nRoute: Solnhofen to Dollnstein (12 km)\nPaddling Time: Approximately 3.5 hours\nArrival in Dollnstein: By 4:30 PM\nCost: €27 for Global Locals members / €32 for non-members\n\nImportant Booking Information: \nPlease note that tickets must be purchased by Friday\, July 4th. There are just 10 places which we can guarantee are available\, so book your place early! \nWhile we are unable to offer refunds\, you are welcome to transfer your ticket to another person\, aged 18 or over\, if you can no longer attend. If you do transfer your ticket\, please notify us of the change. DESCRIPTION:Join us for an exhilarating 13km hike discovering the wonders of Franconian Switzerland! Prepare to be captivated by narrow\, winding trails leading us through fascinating rock formations. The route features iconic landmarks such as the “Rock Gate\,” the intriguing “Stone Town” with its distinctive “Two Brothers” pillars\, and a series of captivating caves including the Mystery Grotto\, the impressive Distler Grotto\, the spacious Maximilian Grotto\, and the hidden gems on the Weissingkuppe. \nClassified as “intermediate” in difficulty\, this hike requires a reasonable level of fitness. However\, its diverse terrain and moderate pace make it enjoyable for hikers of all skill levels. \nWe will meet between 9.15am and 9.30am at Nuremberg Main Station\, those who wish to travel by car can meet us off the train at Neuhaus (Pegnitz) shortly after 10am. Upon registration\, you’ll receive more detailed information about the hike\, ensuring you’re fully prepared for this unforgettable experience. We look forward to exploring with you!
