Global Locals Cycling Adventure to Birkensee

Join Global Locals on Saturday, September 16, for a cycling trip to Birkensee, led by our cycling enthusiast Dominik, where adventure and nature converge in perfect harmony. The wind in your hair, the sun on your face, and the promise of new experiences await as we pedal through scenic landscapes. This isn’t just a ride; it’s a chance to create memories, feel the thrill of the open road, and revel in the beauty of the world around us.

Event Details:

• Date: Saturday, September 16
• Time: Meet at 10:50am (location via email)

Trip Details:

• Morning: Cycle 15km (one way) – approximately 1 hour
• Midday: Stay at Birkensee: 1-2 hours (depending on the group)
• Early afternoon: Cycle back 15km – approximately 1 hour
• Total Time: 3-4 hours of outdoor fun

What to Bring:

• A large towel or blanket
• Swimwear (or for the brave—skinny-dipping is also an option!)
• Some snacks/food (either for yourself or to share)
• Don’t forget your water or preferred drinks; it will be a hot ride (fingers crossed for good weather!)

Requirements:

• A reasonable level of fitness
• A fully working bike
• Spare tubes compatible with your bicycle/tyres (in case of a puncture)
• A mandatory helmet for safety (we strongly recommend it too!)

We’ll start and finish our adventure at Wöhrder Wiese. We’ll email you the exact details a day or two before the trip.
