Ever wondered which mushrooms belong on a dinner plate and which ones you should leave well alone? Join Global Locals for a hands-on foraging walk designed to take the guesswork out of wild mushrooms.
Led by a certified German mushroom expert (Pilzberater der Bayerischen Mykologischen Gesellschaft – BMG) this beginner-friendly tour will be conducted in English. You will learn the fundamentals of safe mushroom identification, how to spot popular edible varieties in the Nuremberg region, and how to reliably distinguish them from their toxic lookalikes. The tour will be approximately 3 hours duration.

We have scheduled the tour during a peak seasonal window where mushrooms are usually plentiful; however, nature guarantees no harvests! Regardless of what pops up on the day, our guide will ensure an engaging, highly informative, and fascinating tour for anyone curious about wild fungi.
