Global Locals e.V. Extraordinary General Meeting

All Global Locals e.V. members are invited to attend an Extraordinary General Meeting. This will take place at the Weinerei, Königstraße 33-37, 90402 Nuremberg, on Monday, December 9, 2024, from 8 pm. 

Members’ presence and participation in the future direction of Global Locals e.V. will be much appreciated.

Following Melissa and Alice’s recent resignation from the Board of Directors of Global Locals e.V., members are probably wondering what is going on. At this meeting, there will be ample opportunity to answer your questions.

In light of this development the primary purpose of this meeting is now to inform members about the present situation and importantly in seeking people willing to join the Board of Directors of Global Locals e.V., these roles include those of Treasurer, Vice-Chairperson and Secretary. If anyone is interested in filling any of these roles please send an email to [email protected]

Besides this it will also be an ideal opportunity discuss the future organisation of Global Locals e.V. taking in to consideration our experience gained so far, as well as taking feedback from the membership.

It seems now appropriate to postpone changes to the Articles of Association until a new Board of Directors is in place.

The agenda is as follows:

1. Welcome and introduction

2. Explanation of how income and membership fees are being used.

3. Proposal for changes to the Articles of the Association

a. Increase the possible number of Board members from 3 to 9 to be made up of 3 core members and 6 advisory members

b. Regulations on how board members may be elected

c. Expenditure/organisation of Association funds should be a unanimous decision by all core members of the Board

4. Feedback and proposals from members for the future direction of Global Locals

5. Vote (by the Board members)
