Public Picnic Celebrating Human Rights at the Friedenstafel

When
Sunday, 21 September, 2025
12:30 - 16:30
Join Global Locals in a special celebration and show of support for the International Nuremberg Human Rights Prize! We’re heading to the Nuremberg Peace Table, a massive public picnic held on the Kornmarkt in the heart of Nuremberg. It’s a special opportunity to come together, share food, and show solidarity with those working for a more just world. It’s also a fantastic way to connect with the community and support a meaningful cause and tradition!
The Friedenstafel is a modern nod to Nuremberg’s rich history. In 1649, the city hosted a grand “Peace Banquet” to celebrate the end of the devastating Thirty Years’ War. While today’s event has a different focus—human rights—it carries the same spirit bringing people together in unity.
Reserve Your Seat at Our Table
Global Locals has reserved two tables for 16 people at this biennial event. To join our group, simply purchase your ticket for €5.
We want to create a bountiful and diverse feast, so we ask everyone to contribute a dish to share. This is a great opportunity to show off your culinary skills! After you’ve secured your spot, you’ll be added to a WhatsApp group to coordinate what to bring and ensure we have a delicious variety of food.
