Trans Franconian-Switzerland Cycling

Join us for this adventurous cycling tour uphill and down-dale across the scenic Franconian-Switzerland region from Pegnitz to Forchheim. We’ll take the train to Pegnitz from where we cycle westwards to Forchheim and return from there by train to Nuremberg. The route starts at 420m ASL (Pegnitz) and over the 42km rises to 550m before dropping down to 266m ASL at Forchheim. Along the way are Burgruine Leienfels, Wolfsberg Castle and Egloffstein Castle as well as “die Rohre” a renowned tree-lined tunnel.

–This tour is suitable for intermediate cyclists, bikes must be in good condition with good brakes!
