Are you ready for an unforgettable adventure blending nature, history, and delicious Franconian wines? We’re organizing a group hike along the Ipsheimer Weinwanderweg – the stunning Wine Hiking Trail in the heart of Bavaria’s vineyard region!
Hike Details:
Date & Time: Saturday, Sep 28 4, 2025, starting at 10:00 AM (meet at Nuremberg train station).
Route: A leisurely 14 km circular trail through rolling vineyards, with breathtaking views of Hoheneck Castle. It’s easy to moderate difficulty – perfect for all levels, with options to shorten if needed.
Highlights: Wander past blooming vines, learn about local grape varieties via info boards, and stop at the charming Weinnest hut for wine tastings and snacks (featuring Ipsheimer Hoheneck Castle wines). Expect meadows, woodlands, and maybe even storks nesting on the church tower!
Duration: About 4-5 hours, including breaks for photos and sips.
What to Bring: Comfortable hiking shoes, water, sunscreen, a light jacket, and your appetite for wine and good company. We’ll handle the trail maps.
